Welcome to the Hops and Lops Tennesse Rabbit Rescue Adoption Program. We
are glad that you would like to adopt a new rabbit from us. The following information is requested so that we can assist you
in the selection of a rabbit companion. This application and consultation with the Hops and Lops Manager are designed to help
us determine if the adoption is in the rabbit’s best interest and to assist you in finding the rabbit/s most compatible
with your lifestyle. We recommend primary indoor housing with outside time in a predator safe and supervised setting.
We do prefer a home visit prior to placing the rabbit. If you live a far distance
from Hops and Lops a home visit can be arranged with our network volunteers. Your references will be contacted. We will consider
your adoption application on an individual basis based on the information provided and interview. Thank you for wanting to
give a rabbit a safe and loving home.
In order to be considered as an adopter you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have identification showing your present address
- Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord
- Be able and willing to provide an indoor, loving, safe and peaceful environment
for your rabbit or rabbits
- Be financially stable and willing to provide any necessary medical care
